In 1996 I was invited by my dear Brazilian friend Tathagat from Cologne to join him to play music at the Osho Leela Center in Dorset, UK. It was love at first sight on many levels with many people. We were having so much fun, and at the end of the festival many of us were hanging out together and started chanting this catchy melody of "The Leela Groove - in you". I somehow had the intuition to record it onto my DAT recorder, and the very next day, some of the musicians, including Bharti Tarisha, Maneesh, Satyo and me already started to track some of the vocals and Bass for this album.
Dhyano, Maneesh, Tarisha and I brainstormed in the following days and thought, it would be a great plan to record an Osho Leela CD.
I had also fallen in love with a beautiful English girl which led me to pack up my studio in Bavaria and drive it all the way up to Dorset, to set up the Osho Leela Recording Studio. Soon after, Maneesh, Rakendra and the Dakinis came over from Holland and we started the next recording sessions. Song after song popped out and up. Also Somesh, James and Mohan joined us for some of the sessions and in the end we had 8 songs. And in the end of 1997 this album was finished mixing and mastered. Satyaloka did the graphics and we held our one and only Osho Leela album in hands: The Leela Groove - Earth & Ocean
